The Trust Digital software client is designed to secure the user's smartphone or PDA without being intrusive. Our client software is transparent to the user in both operation and use. Features such as dialing without password ensure that data security does not disrupt using the smartphone to communicate with others. In a similar vein, the software's efficiency ensures that it does not impact application usability by affecting device battery life and application performance.
Regardless of the size of deployment, smartphone security and management is made easy with Trust Digital’s self-service, over-the-air (OTA) device registration and provisioning. Other client policy-based software features include:
- Power-on password user authentication with optional two-factor authentication
- FIP@ 140-2 validated on-device encryption (AES128/196/256 and Triple DES)
- Real-time, on-the-fly encryption of device and removable media
- Resource restrictions for device camera, removable media, WiFi, Bluetooth®, infrared (IR), and SMS
- On-device IP firewall and IP Proxy
- Device software image locking that prevents applications from being installed or uninstalled
- Application blacklisting that can block specific applications from being used (e.g., web browsers)
- Patent-pending "Trusted Application" architecture that prevents viruses, Trojan horses, etc., from accessing protected data
Trust Digital's list of certified smartphones and PDAs covers most popular devices using Windows, Palm, and Symbian OS, and continues to expand as new devices enter the market.
