Company Expands Executive Team to Meet Increasing Market Demand for Enterprise Smartphone Security
McLean, Virginia, – March 19, 2008 – Trust Digital, the leading smartphone security management provider, today announced that the company exceeded goals for the quarter with continued company growth and product innovation. With new executive hires, product releases and additional Phone Factory™ certifications, Trust Digital continues to provide secure mobility to the enterprise, education centers, healthcare organizations and government agencies by helping to reduce organizational risk and regulatory liability.
Trust Digital is experiencing rapid business growth within the Department of Defense (DOD) and other governmental organizations. With the recent publication of the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide for Windows Mobile Messaging Wireless Email Systems, Trust Digital and its partner Microsoft is being trialed or deployed by all DOD branches. Together Trust Digital and Microsoft provide the only reliable and secure email alternative to Blackberry without routing the email through a third party NOC. Another differentiator of the combined Trust Digital/Microsoft solution is that secured devices do not need to be cradled every 30 days to receive updated Master Keys and software updates. Rather, devices secured by the Trust Digital/Microsoft solution remain compliant by receiving updates over-the-air - of particular importance when mobile devices are deployed in the field to warfighters who might not have the convenience of cradling their devices.
Outside of the DOD, Trust Digital is also helping regulated organizations meet rigid security requirements. A notable example of this is in the educational sector where Trust Digital was selected to replace a competing solution by one of the largest school districts in Florida - spanning over 185 K-12 schools – to secure teacher, administrator and student data along with detecting and managing rogue devices. Within the financial services industry the company counts several Banks and Savings & Loans as customers. Their security requirements are similar to the Federal Housing Finance Board (FHFB), a recently announced customer, who selected Trust Digital's Smartphone Security Management Software to comply with the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) security regulations to protect sensitive data stored on their mobile devices. FHFB regulates the twelve Federal Home Loan Banks who supply local lenders with funds used to finance loans for home mortgages.
To support the growing need for Trust Digital's solution in the enterprise, the company hired Michael Morgan, vice president of worldwide sales and Scott Yaunches, director of customer support. Their key responsibilities include overseeing both government and commercial customer support. Morgan also leads the sales team in delivering Trust Digital’s transparent security software on mobile devices to protect against fraud, theft, sabotage and malicious hacking.
CONTINUED PRODUCT INNOVATION
In February, Trust Digital's Smartphone Security V7.3 received an
outstanding five stars for features and ease-of-use in SC Magazine's
Test Lab for Portable Device Security.
Building on the success of V7.3, Trust Digital announced the availability of Smartphone Security V7.6 with Remote Smartphone Assist™, marking the company’s continued efforts to provide organizations with the tools they need to tackle the day-to-day issues mobile users face. This release enables IT helpdesks to remotely troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and control users’ smartphones and PDAs from the Trust Digital Enterprise Console. Remote Smartphone Assist delivers a powerful set of capabilities to helpdesk personnel including a web-based, real-time view of what the mobile end-user sees right as it happens, including stylus and keyboard input. Additional V7.6 features include data recovery and key management, important for addressing regulatory compliance requirements, along with expanded enterprise reporting features.
PHONE FACTORY CERTIFICATIONS ON THE RISE
End-users today want the latest mobile devices with the most advanced
features available. To meet that need, Trust Digital's Phone Factory
tests and certifies a common set of advanced security features
essential to IT security administrators who are securing their
mobile workforce. In Q108, Trust Digital added support for Windows
Mobile 6 Standard and Classic - the latest operating system for
smartphones and PDAs - and certified popular mobile devices including
Sprint Q9c, AT&T Blackjack II, Sprint Touch and AT&T Tilt.
Smartphones certified through the Phone Factory meet the highest requirements for security with easy to implement security management facilities, providing a consistent and reliable security policy enforcement platform that is visualized and managed from a centralized console. The result is a satisfied end-user and an "audit ready" IT staff that is fully compliant to industry rules and regulations.
