Trust Digital Announces Relief Donations to Be Made From Government Orders

Company Plans to Assist Victims of September 11th Tragedy Fairfax, Virginia, September 17, 2001 – Trust Digital LLC, a subsidiary of Applied Technologies, Inc., announced that it would donate a portion of its profits from each order it receives from the U.S. Government for its security software product line. Donations will be made to the American Red Cross and other relief organizations responding to the victims of attacks in New York and Washington, DC on September 11th.

Trust Digital markets security software solutions for personal computers, networks and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) devices. The government is proving to be one of its biggest customers, even before the recent tragic events. “With the new interest and push by the government on data security and access control, we felt it appropriate that we put some of that money from their orders into the efforts by others to provide relief.” Said Kevin Shahbazi, Assistant VP of Marketing for Trust Digital. “Though the government is pushing to commit year end funds, we decided to extend our donation program beyond the end of their fiscal year into the next several months to let them take off the pressure in making a decision.”

Trust Digital sells the PDASecure™ security software line, including PDASecure™ (for individual PDAs), PDASecure Enterprise™ (for network connected PDAs), PDASecure Policy Editor™ (for controlling PDA’s on a network), and ForeverSecure™ (for PCs). The company also plans to announce a version of the software for PDAs that use Microsoft’s Windows CE such as the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC.

The company’s security products use single-key encryption technology including the recently approved Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). When installed, the products protect an organization’s systems and data against internal fraud and theft, sabotage, malicious hacking and minimizing legal exposure to the compromise of customer personal data.

Specific features and functions can be studied in detail at the Trust Digital web site (http://www.TrustDigital.com). For details on the donation program, U.S. Government clients should contact Kevin Shahbazi at (703) 246-9198 or by email at kevin.shahbazi@trustdigital.com.
